About this role

About the Role The Vice President of Rail & Transit in Accenture Infrastructure & Capital Projects provides operational leadership for the national practice, supporting the Managing Director in day-to-day operations, resource planning, and performance against strategic and financial goals. You’ll help lead budgeting and forecasting for the practice and manage the tracking of project revenues, expenditures, utilization, and profitability. What You'll Do

  • Provide operational leadership for the national Rail & Transit practice, supporting day-to-day operations, resource planning, and performance against strategic and financial goals
  • Lead annual budgeting and forecasting, and manage tracking of revenues, expenditures, utilization, and profitability
  • Support core operational workflows across departments (contract reviews, certificate of insurance requests, business license requests, proposal support, staff requisitions)
  • Partner with the Rail & Transit Industry Captain and sub-Industry leads to set priorities, allocate resources, and translate strategy into actionable operating plans
  • Manage, mentor, and develop practice staff; support recruiting, onboarding, and team building to scale the national practice
  • Establish and continuously improve processes, tools, and best practices to drive consistency, quality, and efficiency across regional offices
  • Develop and execute the practice’s growth strategy by coordinating business development pursuits with the Industry Captain, regional leads, and adjacent markets to achieve market growth
  • Identify, lead, and collaborate with industry contacts to develop major pursuit efforts from identification through submission
  • Support the proposal response process, including RFP requirements and deadlines, content creation, and follow-up (including interviews if required)
  • Generate new leads, screen opportunities, and develop strategic partnerships and teaming relationships
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients and teaming partners; arrange meetings and position the practice for opportunities
  • Attend industry outreach events to build local contacts, promote Accenture and personal brand, and identify project opportunities
  • Direct coordination and implementation of marketing strategies and the development of marketing materials, presentations, and graphics for external use
  • Work closely with stakeholders across rail and transit programs (transit agencies, operators, contractors, executives, municipal officials, funding partners such as the FTA and FRA)
  • Engage in presentations from preparation through delivery, and oversee the preparation of written materials including correspondence, reports, procedures, and guidelines
  • Role is remote for the majority of work hours; travel up to 20% as required by business needs; onsite work with clients and partners when delivering projects What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 10+ years of experience including leadership in business operations and/or business development
  • Prior experience with rail, transit and transportation industries
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams, managing budgets, and overseeing day-to-day operations
  • Presentation skills: verbal & digital (ability to create presentations, graphics, charts, etc. that explain topics effectively)
  • Professional communication and collaboration skills Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary: $190,000 - $205,000 per year (USD)
  • Compensation varies by location, role, and experience; remote/hybrid capabilities and travel expectations apply as described
