Job title: Vice President of Corporate Security
About the Role The Vice President of Corporate Security will lead BlackRock’s APAC security operations, establishing reliable security measures and partnering with stakeholders to uphold our high security standards. This role reports to the Global Head of Corporate Security in New York City and focuses on coordinating Technical Security, Project Management, and Physical Security Operations across Asia-Pacific (APAC, excluding India).
What You'll Do
- Lead and manage daily security operations across APAC (excluding India)
- Ensure sites comply with BlackRock’s global security standards through regular site assessments and collaboration with local teams
- Develop and maintain physical security Site Profiles, including mapping builds, responsible persons, emergency contacts, and key locations
- Coordinate with Site Facilities Managers and Security Reps to communicate security policies and initiatives
- Develop and detail SOPs for regional security; support 24/7 Security Command Centers
- Address emergencies with availability during evenings and weekends; support risk reduction
- Provide vendor administration, HR/Legal investigations, and incident management support as directed
- Maintain relationships with local vendors, government, and law enforcement; represent BlackRock at internal and external forums
- Support the Travel Safety Program with risk assessments, field security support, and training for employees traveling to higher-risk locations
- Collaborate with Global Events Management and the Global Head of Executive Protection on event security planning; occasional APAC travel
- Improve cross-team coordination and policy compliance; develop regional metrics, reporting, and dashboards with Regional Security Managers
- Technical Security and Capital Projects: coordinate delivery of APAC Technical Security program; serve as SME and primary POC
- Support APAC Capital Projects for security build, installation, programming, and testing; lead infrastructure improvements and technology deployments
- Manage and develop embedded Technical and Project Officers; align KRIs and SLAs; collaborate with vendors on SLAs
- Contribute to regional tasks with technical/physical or vendor-management elements as directed
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 10 years of advancement in security management; financial services experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of APAC geo-political landscape; experience in combined Technical/Physical Security environments
- Project management experience; knowledge of BCM, health & safety (H&S), and life safety processes
- Expertise in physical security solutions and networked Electronic Access Control Systems
- Effective communication, critical thinking, good judgment
- Understanding of performance metrics and cost-saving opportunities
- Strong scheduling, prioritizing, and multitasking skills in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Ability to build and sustain productive relationships across all organizational levels; experience handling senior collaborators and critical issues with discretion
- Bachelor's degree required; ASIS CPP accreditation advantageous; certifications in H&S and security-system integration are of interest
- Candidates must live in the specified area; no relocation assistance offered
- Willing to travel and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends for urgent situations
