About the Role The Vice President of Human Resources is the organization's senior HR leader and trusted advisor to the President & CEO. This role shapes strategy, builds organizational capability, and guides KLX Energy Services through its next phase of growth, serving as an enterprise-wide HR leader and strategic partner to executive leadership.
What You'll Do
- Serve as a strategic business partner to the President & CEO and executive leadership, providing counsel on organizational strategy, workforce planning, compensation, risk, and change management.
- Translate business strategy into people strategy and influence with HR solutions aligned to the business cycle.
- Lead and develop the HR organization, set priorities, and coach HR leaders while maintaining a culture of continuous improvement and trust.
- Develop recruiting strategies, oversee workforce planning, and manage onboarding and retention initiatives; oversee succession planning for key roles.
- Drive leadership development and talent management, including training and building leadership capability.
- Oversee employee relations, policy application, performance culture, and fairness.
- Provide executive oversight of compensation philosophy, merit and incentive planning, market competitiveness, and benefits administration.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws; govern HR policies; direct HRIS strategy, analytics, and process improvement.
- Lead organizational design, support acquisitions and integrations, and drive organizational change while maintaining efficiency.
- Establish and monitor HR metrics and dashboards; leverage data to inform decisions across recruiting, retention, turnover, compensation, and organizational performance.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred. 10–12+ years of progressive HR leadership experience.
- Experience leading an HR function supporting multi-site operations and partnering directly with executive leadership.
- Strong understanding of employment law and HR compliance; experience with HR technology, organizational design, leadership development, compensation, employee relations, and talent acquisition.
- Proven ability to lead organizational change and influence executive decisions.
- Preferred experience in oilfield services, industrial, construction, manufacturing, transportation, or other operational industries; multi-state workforce; field operations environment; mergers and acquisitions knowledge.
Nice to Have
- Experience with large-scale integrations or M&A activity; proven ability to operate in geographically dispersed environments.
