About the Role The Claim Manager – General Aviation is a key leadership role within AIGs Aerospace Claims team, responsible for managing the Hull, Light Aviation and Vertical Unit and leading a team of approximately eight adjusters located across the US. You will serve as both a people manager and a technical focal point for NA Aerospace claims, driving client and broker engagement, loss trend analysis and risk management, and delivering operational excellence. You will also handle some of the departments most complex claims in partnership with NA Aerospace Claim leaders to deliver a consistent, efficient, customer centric NA Aerospace claim proposition.

What You'll Do

• Lead and develop the NA Aerospace General Aviation claims team (Hull, Light Aviation, Vertical) across the US, and act as both people manager and technical referral point.
• Provide strong technical leadership across general aviation claims to optimize Total Cost of Claim management and loss outcomes.
• Delegate reserving, payment and settlement authority in line with Global guidelines, coordinating with Global International, Specialty and Aerospace Claim management.
• Ensure compliance with established AIG Litigation Claim guidelines; engage with AIG Legal and organize cross functional litigated claim file roundtables.
• Collaborate with Specialty leadership and Head of NA Aerospace Claims to ensure appropriate resource levels and skill sets.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of NA Aerospace major claim casualties and catastrophes.
• Build and maintain relationships with Global/NA Regional Aerospace underwriting, actuaries, finance, reinsurance, customers and brokers; support underwriting in account management and new business development.
• Review and update best practice guidelines; provide technical training and recruit top Aerospace claim talent.
• Lead AIGs NA Aerospace claim industry thought leadership; participate in local market seminars, programs and industry events.
• Identify and report NA Aerospace claim trends, lessons learned and risk management opportunities to the Head of NA Aerospace Claims and relevant stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with governmental regulatory and AIG corporate claims governance guidelines.

• Highly collaborative approach and ability to influence across North America.
• Strong technical aerospace claim capability to manage and oversee NA Aerospace portfolio and complex aircraft damage claims.
• Established positive reputation and market presence in Aerospace Insurance claim management.
• Ability to manage/minimize the total cost of Aerospace claims.
• Willingness to be based onsite in office per company policy.
