About this role
FCOE Sanctions, Non-London Branch Engagement and Governance
As Vice President for FCOE Sanctions Non-London Branch Engagement and Governance at MUFG, you will play a central role in shaping how sanctions services are delivered across EMEA branches outside London. Your day-to-day activities will involve building trusted relationships with branch stakeholders, ensuring that all aspects of sanctions governance are clearly defined and monitored. You will coordinate service review meetings with various teams such as Legal, Operations and Risk to oversee inter-affiliate agreements. By analysing trends in performance data and identifying emerging risks or control weaknesses, you will present concise recommendations to senior stakeholders. Your ability to communicate complex regulatory requirements in practical terms will help ensure local processes align with global standards. You will also be responsible for planning exit strategies for sanctions services during crises—ensuring business continuity—and supporting third-party risk management through diligent oversight. Success in this role requires you to foster collaboration across teams while driving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance transparency, efficiency and resilience throughout the region.
