About the Role

Join Hackensack Meridian Health as the Vice Chair of Quality. You will lead quality improvement initiatives for inpatient and ambulatory care, chair key governance committees, and develop data-driven dashboards to track progress. The role emphasizes compliance with Joint Commission and CMS, collaboration with the Office of Patient Experience, and education of residents, fellows, and faculty in quality improvement.

What You'll Do

  • Lead Quality Improvement initiatives for inpatient and ambulatory care

  • Chair the Quality Council and Peer Review Committee

  • Develop and manage quality dashboards to track progress

  • Ensure compliance with The Joint Commission and CMS

  • Partner with the Office of Patient Experience to enhance patient care

  • Educate and mentor residents, fellows, and faculty in quality improvement

  • Promote research and publications in quality and safety

  • What We're Looking For

  • MD/DO; Board Certified in Internal Medicine or a subspecialty

  • 3+ years of post-residency/fellowship experience with a strong background in quality improvement

  • Exceptional communication, analytical, and collaborative skills

  • Ability to obtain a faculty appointment at the School of Medicine and credentials at HUMC

  • Nice to Have

  • Leadership experience such as department chair or chief, practice group leader, or other leadership roles

  • Experience fostering high reliability and innovation in healthcare settings

  • Compensation & Benefits

  • Minimum base salary: $282,759 per year
