The Role:
As an usher/ticket taker, you will help to ensure safety, engage with guests to assist with their needs before, during and after the show, and help to maintain the appearance, cleanliness & integrity of the venue during showtimes.
Job Functions
- Greet and welcome guests upon arrival.
- Scan and validate tickets at venue entrances.
- Direct guests to seating areas, restrooms, concessions, exits, and other venue locations.
- Verify tickets and credentials for access to designated seating areas and restricted areas as needed.
- Assist guests with questions, concerns, complaints, or other issues, escalating matters to supervisors or management when appropriate.
- Provide assistance to guests with accessibility needs, including expedited entry, manual screening, and guidance to accessible seating and other areas.
- Assist with maintaining a safe, clean, orderly, and welcoming environment for guests and staff.
- Monitor guest activity throughout events and address situations that may affect guest safety or the overall event experience.
- Assist with verifying staff, artist, tour, and other authorized credentials as needed.
- Assist with pre- and post-event setup and breakdown of equipment and guest service areas.
- Provide directions, instructions, and other assistance to guests both inside and outside the venue.
- Assist with emergency procedures, including directing guests to exits and providing instructions during evacuations or other emergency situations.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Strong afternoon and evening availability on both weekdays and weekends is required.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous guest service experience preferred; 1+ year preferred.
- Excellent attendance, punctuality, and time-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Sound judgment, tact, and diplomacy when interacting with guests, staff, tour personell and management.
- Ability to remain professional and composed in a variety of situations.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, climb stairs, and occasionally sit, lift, and carry items weighing 25+ lbs.
Compensation
- $20.00/hr

The expected compensation for this position is:
