About the Role Join ZF Wind Power’s Test & Prototype Center in Lommel as Validation Lead Engineer. You will technically and organizationally lead validation activities for multi-megawatt wind turbine gearboxes and drive systems, ensuring that projects meet required technical specifications and quality standards before market release. What You'll Do
- Lead validation activities for multi-megawatt wind turbine gearboxes and drivetrain systems.
- Ensure customer or technology projects are validated on time, within budget and according to technical specifications to maximize reliability and efficiency of wind farms worldwide.
- Act as the central contact for all validation-related activities.
- Define the complete validation plan based on customer requirements, drivetrain design objectives and internal validation standards to ensure gearboxes meet durability, performance, quality and safety.
- Plan, coordinate and mentor the assigned validation engineers and available test capacities, utilizing ZF’s advanced test stands and validation infrastructure.
- Proactively handle escalations and ensure transparency in timing, budget and results.
- Review final procedures and reports, align conclusions with the design lead and technical experts, and provide substantiated advice for project release. What We're Looking For
- Master in Mechanical Engineering with strong technical and practical insight; knowledge of gearboxes Nice to Have
