Job title: Utility Buffet Server
About the Role As a Utility Buffet Server at Resort Lifestyle Communities (RLC), you'll create welcoming dining experiences for residents and guests, supporting a compassionate, team-driven environment. This role blends frontline service with food safety and sanitation to help deliver joyful meals in a resort-style community.
What You'll Do
- Create a welcoming dining experience by greeting residents and guests with warmth, presenting menu options clearly, taking accurate orders, and tailoring portion sizes to individual preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and handle dishware with care to prevent breakage, ensuring quality and safety.
- Keep the exhibition line attended and visually appealing throughout meal hours for seamless service.
- Respond professionally to feedback, address concerns promptly, and escalate issues to leadership when necessary.
- Safely operate kitchen equipment, including pizza ovens and sharp tools, following all safety standards (must be at least 18).
- Complete support work and additional tasks assigned by the Executive Chef or Sous Chef to contribute to team success.
- Maintain strict sanitation standards in all food preparation and production areas.
- Adhere to assigned shifts (Monday-Friday 5:00pm-7:00pm).
What We're Looking For
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older to use pizza oven, meat slicer or knives.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English with residents, guests, and employees.
- Ability to secure required food handler permits within two (2) weeks of hire per local ordinances.
- No prior work experience is required.
- State regulations may require a work permit; guidance provided by the Community Manager at the location of application.
- Any required work permit must be submitted at time of hire to ensure compliance.
