About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Utilities Technician to join our team, focusing on the installation, maintenance, and repair of various utility systems. In this role, you will ensure the efficient operation of electrical, water, and gas distribution systems, contributing to the overall reliability and safety of our infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of utility systems to identify potential issues.
• Perform troubleshooting and repairs on electrical, plumbing, and gas systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Install new utility equipment and systems, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Monitor utility consumption and implement strategies for efficiency and resource conservation.
• Respond to service requests and emergencies in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs performed.
• Collaborate with other technicians and departments to enhance service delivery and system upgrades.
• Provide technical support and training to junior staff and other personnel as needed.

Requirements

• Proven experience in utilities maintenance or a related technical field.

• Strong understanding of electrical, plumbing, and gas systems and their components.

• Demonstrable ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.

• Familiarity with tools and equipment used in utility maintenance and repairs.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to various job sites.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

• Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant certification in electrical, plumbing, or gas systems.

• Experience with energy management systems or smart utility technologies.

• Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations related to utilities.

• Previous experience in a similar role within an industrial or commercial setting.
