About the Role Utilities Operator responsible for operating and maintaining equipment across Plant Utilities and Clean Utilities environments in Augusta, GA, ensuring compliance with FDA and cGMP specs. This role involves documentation, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, SOP development, and team leadership responsibilities. What You'll Do
- Operate and maintain equipment and complete all required documentation under FDA and cGMP specifications.
- Record information accurately per batch records and procedures.
- Troubleshoot equipment or process conditions; make recommendations to Process Engineers, Maintenance Engineer, or Group Leader; implement changes to achieve efficient operating conditions.
- Perform area Preventive Maintenance (PMs) and Work Orders (WO) on equipment in Plant Utilities and Clean Utilities; record time against WOs in SAP.
- Develop and revise SOPs; train and develop other Operators.
- Perform in-process analysis including pH, conductivity, spectrophotometry and titration.
- Monitor the Console control board; investigate alarms; make required adjustments.
- Housekeeping to keep the area clean and free of hazards.
- Work in a team-based environment; participate in team activities; may serve in leadership roles; receptive to coaching. What We're Looking For
- Education: Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in chemical, pharmaceutical, or related process operation.
- Skills: Familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and SAP.
- Abilities: Able to work in a team environment; high initiative; excellent verbal and written communication; able to handle change productively; strong interpersonal, planning, organization and prioritizing skills.
- Physical/Other: Able to ascend/descend ladders and stairs; lift 50 lb; wear PPE; work in manufacturing plant environment; 12-hour rotating day/night shifts; available for overtime/modified schedule per department and Union Agener policy. Compensation & Benefits
