Job title: Unmounted Programs Assistant
About the Role Checkers is a 15-year-old gelding miniature horse described as Black and White Pinto, standing 9.0 hands. He is preparing to be involved in UpReach’s Unmounted Programs and will be part of sponsorship efforts to offset care costs. This role centers on supporting Checkers and the program through engagement and community sponsorship.
What You'll Do
- Support UpReach’s Unmounted Programs with Checkers and assist in program activities.
- Help offset costs for hay, grain, shavings, supplements, barn and horse care supplies, as well as farrier services through sponsorship.
- Engage with participants of all ages; foster a social, welcoming presence around Checkers.
What We're Looking For
- Interest in animal-assisted programs and sponsorship support.
- Appreciation for horses and the role they play in therapeutic settings.
- Willingness to engage with people of all ages.
Nice to Have
- Experience with horse care or sponsorship fundraising (not required).
