Senior Product and Test Engineer

A Senior Product and Test Engineer at Qualcomm validates and debugs new silicon, and develops ATE hardware and software solutions to characterize device performance across various process and operating conditions. You will work with cross-functional engineering teams to create test methodologies for advanced packaging technologies and release cost-effective production test solutions for high-volume manufacturing. The role includes supporting diversity initiatives within the team and contributing to the development and deployment of Qualcomm's Cellular, Compute, AI, and Modem technologies.

Responsibilities

• Validate and debug new silicon and characterize device performance across process and operating conditions.
• Develop Automated Test Equipment (ATE) hardware and software solutions for production testing.
• Characterize device performance and develop test methodologies for advanced packaging technologies.
• Release cost-effective production test solutions for high-volume manufacturing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to define and implement testing strategies.
• Support diversity initiatives within the team.
• Contribute to the development and deployment of Qualcomm technologies across Cellular, Compute, AI, and Modem platforms.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or a related field; or Master’s degree with 1 year of hardware engineering or related experience; or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: 3+ years (Bachelor’s) or 1 year (Master’s) of hardware engineering or related work; 3+ years of experience with silicon bring-up and high-volume manufacturing is preferred.
• Technical skills: Silicon validation and debugging; ATE hardware and software development; device characterization; high-volume manufacturing; advanced packaging technologies; production test development; test methodology development; oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, logic analyzer, network analyzer proficiency; Advantest 93K SoC test systems; Design for Test (DFT); Scan/ATPG; JTAG; Memory BIST; CPU testing; advanced package testing; C/C++, Perl, JMP; VLSI design; semiconductor device physics; CMOS, analog, and mixed-signal circuits; ADC, DAC, PLL; codecs; performance measurement techniques.
