Mercado Libre is seeking a Software Technical Lead based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. You will design and scale innovative and secure systems that address real-world, high-impact problems. Responsibilities
- Design and implement high-performance, scalable projects and architectures aligned with the highest industry standards.
- Act as the technology lead for the assigned team and project, fostering collaboration among all members.
- Design and build tools, services, and structures to create agile development teams with a high degree of autonomy.
- Research new technologies for innovative projects and lead debates on technical feasibility.
- Lead technical decisions in uncertain environments where many solutions do not yet exist.
- Define solutions and changes to the ecosystem architecture to address new requirements or improve existing applications, with a long-term perspective.
- Monitor technical metrics and define technical objectives for the teams you work with.
Requirements
- Experience as a technical lead or software architect.
- Ability to create and execute work plans.
- Strong knowledge of backend technologies such as Java and Go; knowledge of Python, Node.js, and others is desirable.
- Experience working in teams with native development.
- Experience in distributed systems design, event-driven architectures, and cloud environments.
