Job Description

As a Full Time Unarmed Overnight Security Officer in University City, Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients on a leading university's campus. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to concerns, and provide exceptional customer service and communication to students, faculty, staff, and visitors. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or contractors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergency situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established campus procedures and contacting appropriate personnel as needed.
• Monitor access points and help enforce visitor, parking, and facility-access protocols in accordance with site requirements.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain communication with supervisors, campus personnel, and/or emergency responders regarding incidents and security-related observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
