About the Role

Under the supervision of the Manager, this role creates and delivers exceptional customer experiences by engaging clients with outstanding service while guiding them toward digital and mobile banking options. It involves introducing and selling financial services to meet short and long-term needs, and handling a variety of banking transactions.

What You'll Do

  • Manage overall branch client experience. Proactively engage existing and prospective clients to demonstrate technology-enabled banking, generate interest, and handle objections.
  • Greet and assist walk-in customers, check in clients with appointments, and guide them to the right banker; maintain exceptional customer service and manage branch workflow, resolve concerns, and escalate when needed.
  • Maintain and sell financial services through client profiling; cross-sell, open new accounts, call on prospects, perform teleconsulting, and promote bank products and services. Interview, process applications, and close for consumer credit products.
  • Process a wide range of financial transactions (cash checks, deposits, withdrawals, payments, cashier’s checks, traveler’s checks), balance cash, and manage vault, ATM cash recycler and armored car duties. Train new employees on procedures.
  • Identify and secure new high-value clients; manage calling efforts, referrals, sales tracking, and prospecting to achieve personal and team goals. Stay informed on policies, regulations, and product promotions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

  • High School Diploma or GED; 2+ years in consumer sales, marketing and/or customer service; 1+ years teller experience or demonstrated cash handling.
  • Ability and desire to grow knowledge in personal financial services (investments, insurance, mortgages, etc.). Proficient in Customer Experience, Laws & Regulations, Technology Literacy, Communication, Accuracy & Efficiency, Relationship Building; familiarity with product knowledge, agility, risk management, problem solving, consultative solutions and results driven.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required; stand for long periods; push/lift up to 30 lbs; own transportation to commute as needed.
  • Must maintain compliance with applicable laws and Bank policies; knowledge of Fair Banking, AML, BSA, and USA PATRIOT Act.

Nice to Have

  • Investments, insurance, mortgage knowledge or related certifications are a plus.

Compensation & Benefits
