A one-paragraph overview of the role: We are a growing indie studio known for our creative projects, and we’re seeking a skilled Unity Programmer to contribute to our future titles from our Valencia office. You’ll work with our team to develop, optimize, and maintain engaging gameplay using Unity and C#, collaborating across disciplines to push the boundaries of indie game development.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain gameplay features using Unity and C#.
- Collaborate within the in-house team in Valencia and work independently when needed.
- Debug, profile, and optimize performance in Unity.
- Apply software design patterns and best practices to deliver scalable, maintainable code.
- Contribute to code reviews and work with teammates to deliver high-quality software.
- Communicate effectively in a bilingual environment (Spanish and English) and support teammates as needed.
Requirements

Minimum requirements

Strong knowledge of C# and the Unity Engine API; solid understanding of game development fundamentals.

Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, Perforce, Plastic SCM).

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

Good knowledge of software design patterns and best practices for scalable, maintainable code.

Experience with debugging and performance optimization in Unity.

Strong communication skills and ability to work in a Spanish and English-speaking environment.

Desirable requirements

Proficiency in Unity (C#) with at least 2 years of professional or personal project experience.

Familiarity with PC and console game development and deployment.

Experience working with multiplayer/networked games (e.g., Photon, Mirror, UNet).

Understanding of shader programming and graphics optimization.

Experience with agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum or Kanban).

Familiarity with third-party SDKs, plugins, and services.

Passion for video games; a portfolio showcasing previous work is a plus.
