About the Role The Union Organizer will work within SEIU-USWW’s Internal - Janitorial department in Anaheim, CA to organize janitorial workers and advance the union’s organizing campaigns. The role focuses on building power for low‑wage workers, expanding membership, and supporting workplace justice across California. What You'll Do
- Develop and implement organizing strategies to recruit and mobilize janitorial workers in California.
- Build, train, and support member leaders and stewards to sustain workplace campaigns.
- Represent the union at worksites, coordinate with staff and volunteers, and help plan actions and negotiations.
- Maintain relationships with workers, allies, and community partners to grow SEIU-USWW’s organizing capacity. What We're Looking For
- Minimum Experience: Mid-level.
- Experience in labor organizing or related advocacy; strong communication, outreach, and relationship-building skills.
- Based in or willing to travel to Anaheim, California; ability to work in a fast-paced organizing environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to social justice, racial equity, and workers' rights. Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $79,776.20 – $88,790.73 per year.
