About the Role Year-long Union Organizing Fellowship with Teamsters Local 1932, based in California, to learn organizing skills, mentored by expert union organizers, and build power to win concrete gains for workers. Fellows will have opportunities for growth and potential long-term employment based on regular evaluations. What You'll Do
- Meet consistently with Organizing Mentor
- Learn and implement tried and true organizing methods and tactics for building worker power
- Communicate effectively and consistently with mentors, workers, and community members
- Occasionally meet one-on-one with worker leaders to train and inspire them What We're Looking For
- Passion and commitment to fighting for working class communities
- Excellent communication skills and consistent punctuality
- Eagerness to learn and take on challenging new tasks
