About the Role Assist faculty, lab director and graduate students in ongoing research activities in the Civil and Environmental Engineering Structural Engineering Teaching and Research Lab. Tasks may include tension testing of steel coupons, open web steel joist testing, construction of a new test setup for new research, and other related activities.
What You'll Do
- Assist faculty, lab director, and graduate students in ongoing research activities.
- Perform tension testing of steel coupons.
- Conduct open web steel joist testing.
- Assist in constructing a new test setup for new research.
What We're Looking For
- Civil Engineering major
- Rising junior or senior
- Work study preferred but open to all students
- Eligible for summer work in 2026
Compensation & Benefits
- Wage rate: $15 per hour, 35 hours per week during Summer 2026
- Location is on-site in the Structural Engineering Teaching and Research Lab
