Job title: Ultrasound Technologist | Per Diem

About the Role The Ultrasound Technologist performs ultrasound imaging procedures under the supervision of the Director, Chairman, Manager, or Chief, ensuring compliance with professional standards and regulatory requirements. This role supports diagnostic imaging needs and may involve coordination with a licensed independent practitioner for interpretation.

What You'll Do

  • Perform ultrasound, diagnostic, or therapeutic procedures in accordance with scope of practice and departmental standards.
  • Assess pertinent information, prepare and educate patients for procedures and expectations.
  • Complete documentation of patient care and procedures.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in the use of hospital and departmental information systems and equipment operations.
  • Maintain productivity, adaptability, flexibility, and timeliness to meet patient care and department needs.
  • Adhere to department policies and safety protocols for modality-specific practice.
  • Actively participate in departmental meetings, modality meetings, and committee initiatives.
  • Complete hospital, departmental, and professional requirements.
  • Participate in assignments for continuous improvement aligned with management and organizational goals.

What We're Looking For

  • Education: Graduate of, or within six months of graduation, from a CAAHEP-accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program with JRC-DMS; two-year allied health field program prior to Diagnostic Medical Sonographer education; education preferred.
  • Certification/Registration/Licensure: Current ARDMS (US) or registry-eligible OR ARRT (S) or eligible; American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers certification or equivalent; Licensed and Certified by NH Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy; ARDMS required within 2 years of hire.
  • Experience: None required.
  • Additional qualifications: Ability to adhere to professional standards and regulatory requirements; competency with hospital information systems and equipment.

Nice to Have

  • Education preferred: Two-year course in a patient-care related allied health field prior to Diagnostic Medical Sonographer education.
