Job title: UK Logistics Manager
UK Logistics Manager leads UK logistics, import/export, trade compliance for Motorola Solutions in London. You will oversee inbound/outbound freight activities, ensuring regulatory compliance and driving cost efficiency.
What You'll Do
- Oversee all UK inbound and outbound international freight activities, ensuring compliance with global trade regulations.
- Maintain and leverage AEO status; lead HMRC/customs audits.
- Manage export licensing and ensure adherence to controlled goods regulations.
- Optimise landed costs through VAT, tariffs and duties efficiency.
- Oversee end-to-end movement of goods domestically and internationally; manage relationships with carriers, freight forwarders and 3PLs; negotiate contracts and SLAs.
- Design and manage repair/reverse logistics workflows to minimise turnaround times.
- Analyse supply chain data and implement Lean or Six Sigma for operational excellence.
- Act as logistics lead during M&A integrations, assess target supply chains, identify synergies, and integrate networks.
- Apply UK market expertise to optimise routing and carrier selection.
What We're Looking For
- Substantial experience in logistics, domestic distribution, and international freight management within the UK.
- Proven track record with AEO accreditations, export licensing, and HMRC audits.
- Strong understanding of international trade tax implications and demonstrable cost savings.
- Vendor management experience with third-party freight forwarders and carriers.
- Desirable warehousing knowledge and inventory control principles.
- Strategic agility with exposure to M&A integrations or supply chain restructuring.
- Strong analytical capabilities, excellent negotiation skills, and ability to communicate complex trade requirements to non-technical stakeholders.
