Job Title: UK Accountant Location: Remote (Surat-based candidates preferred) · Remote Employment: Contract/ Freelance Working hours: Mon to Fri, 6:30 pm to 11:30 pm IST (4 to 5 hours a day) Experience: 3 to 5 years in UK Accounting Monthly salary: INR 35000–40000 · can be shared with candidates
Description: It is a UK accounting outsourcing firm. Its India-based team of chartered accountants handles bookkeeping, VAT, payroll and year-end work for UK accounting practices. You will run the books for UK clients on Xero, from day-to-day bookkeeping through to year-end accounts. The shift lines up with the UK afternoon, so your hours overlap with UK working hours. This is not a training seat. We need someone who has already done UK work on Xero and can handle a client file without supervision. Freelance, part-time, fully remote.
Responsibilities
- Bookkeeping in Xero, keeping client ledgers coded and current
- Bank and ledger reconciliations
- Accounts payable, including purchase invoices, supplier reconciliations and payment runs
- Accounts receivable, including sales invoices, receipts and debtor follow-up
- Year-end accounts for UK clients
- Clear written queries and updates in English
Must have:

3+ years of hands-on UK accounting across bookkeeping, reconciliations, AP, AR and year-end accounts

Xero as a daily working tool, not just familiarity

Available every weekday evening, 6:30 pm to 11:30 pm IST, since the shift window is fixed
