Job title: Tyre Sales Representative M/F
About the Role This role provides administrative, sales and tyre-technical support to the Parts Department and Aftermarket Sales Team, helping implement actions aligned with company objectives and driving efficiency to achieve tyre department targets. It also has overall responsibility for the Tyre Department, Stock Holding and Tyre Fitment Teams in KwaZulu-Natal, including coaching, HR administration and ensuring health and safety compliance.
What You'll Do
- Manage the Tyre Department, Stock Holding & Tyre Fitment Teams in KwaZulu-Natal, including performance feedback, coaching, payroll information, meetings, leave/absenteeism and HR practices aligned with company objectives.
- Carry out routine Forklift Tyre Turvey’s at customer sites, quote accordingly, identify cost-saving initiatives, investigate failures, quote replacements timeously and recommend tyre solutions.
- Adhere to Health and Safety Policy on internal and customer sites.
- Provide technical assistance, coaching and on-the-job training to Field Service Team; ensure quality of service, timely response and identify training needs.
- Manage team finances in line with budget and department objectives; cover WIP, debtors, maintenance contract profitability, warranty claims, GP and overheads, debtors, service quality and inspections.
- Ensure OHSACT requirements are met on own and customer premises and that all regulations are complied with.
- Drive customer service excellence by building strong relationships and meeting CSI targets; ensure timely feedback to customers.
- Ensure team contributions support department growth and alignment with company requirements.
- Provide scheduled reports (monthly, weekly, daily) as requested and keep the Manager informed of activities and timelines.
- Keep the Manager informed of team activities and estimated time to complete work to aid workload planning and customer updates.
What We're Looking For
- Education level: 2 - Certificate.
- Experience level: 4 to 6 years.
- Strong leadership and people management experience, including coaching, performance feedback, payroll information and HR practices.
- Technical tyre knowledge or experience in field service, with a focus on quality of service and timely responses.
- Sound understanding of OHSACT requirements and safety compliance on internal and customer premises.
- Customer service excellence with ability to build and maintain strong internal and external relationships.
- Analytical mindset with ability to manage budgets, WIP, warranty claims, and reporting.
- Ability to identify cost-saving initiatives and provide practical tyre solutions.
