Job title: Turnover Assistant
About the Role Turnover Assistant works on construction mechanical completion activities, ensuring the execution of all aspects of mechanical completion at site and in the home office. This role interfaces with the mechanical completion leader and coordinating teams to handover to commissioning.
What You'll Do
- Receive original punch lists, record them in the punch list logbook, and ensure their insertion in MILEMATE.
- Manage punch list progress, maintain updated closed-item reports, monitor pending priority punch lists per subsystem, and coordinate close-out with discipline Supervisors/subcontractors as per pre-commissioning group priorities.
- Provide punch list printouts to supervisors and collect required approvals after field works are completed.
- Monitor discipline completion and issue discipline acceptance certificates according to handover procedures.
- Monitor field completion dossier status for each subsystem/system and issue subsystem/system ready-for-commissioning certificates according to handover procedures.
- Assign subsystems/check sheets to components/TAGS per approved ITPs.
- Participate in weekly meetings with construction/commissioning teams for handover completion per commissioning prioritization.
- Verify punch points are properly characterized in punch list forms before input into MILEMATE.
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly mechanical completion reports shared with construction/commissioning teams.
- Lead construction team to handover DAC (Discipline Acceptance Certificate).
- Lead commissioning team to handover MCC to the client to commence commissioning activities.
- Issue DAC, MCC and RFSU with proper certificates and documents.
- Prepare the final dossier (field inspection certification dossier).
- Assist the mechanical completion coordinator/engineers in populating data into MILEMATE; scan completed check sheets to MILEMATE; insert/close punch lists and archive documents.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in construction or oil & gas; EPC project experience in oil & gas or petrochemical sectors.
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail, strong management skills.
- Team-oriented, self-motivated with a good drive for timely performance and problem resolution.
