Job title: Trust Advisor II

About the Role The Trust Advisor II is responsible for developing, deepening and maintaining relationships with investment management clients, trust clients, beneficiaries and other interested parties for an assigned book of business. The role includes building a network of centers of influence to solicit new client relationships and ensuring adherence to bank policies and applicable regulations.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and maintain long-term client relationships by providing excellent customer service and tailored estate/trust guidance.
  • Perform and coordinate client estate planning and full estate and trust administration.
  • Conduct needs assessments with current and potential customers and provide ongoing advice and counsel.
  • Develop referral sources and secure new customers to support business development strategy.
  • Maintain contact with existing clients, beneficiaries and referral sources to identify new sales opportunities; refer business internally as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with investment, tax and legal professionals to meet client goals; ensure compliance with BSA/AML provisions.
  • Manage complex relationships through coordinated efforts with internal teams and external professionals.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field; CFP/CTFA/CPA/MBA or law degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in financial services, preferably in a bank trust environment.
  • Knowledge of trust and estate laws and regulations.
  • Superior customer service, sales, and communication skills; strong written and interpersonal abilities.
  • Knowledge of financial planning and estate planning techniques; investment theory and strategy.
  • Proven analytical abilities; well organized with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team; strong time management and problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have

  • CFP, CTFA, CPA, MBA or law degree preferred (as noted above).

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $90,000–$151,000 per year.
