Trust Administrator – Trusts & Estates Expertise

Job descriptionApplication

About the role

Nebraska | York Preferred | $100,000–$110,000 Base + Annual Incentive + Profit Sharing

Take your trusts and estates expertise in a new direction—without leaving sophisticated work behind.

If you've built your career advising families, administering estates, interpreting trust documents or navigating complex fiduciary and tax matters, imagine applying that expertise in a role with more ownership of long-term client relationships, exceptional team support, and a potential pathway into leadership.

We're conducting a confidential retained search for a respected Nebraska financial institution that's open to experienced estate-planning attorneys, senior trusts and estates paralegals, and highly relevant CPA/tax professionals—not just traditional Trust Administrators.

Why this could be a compelling next chapter

  • A broader seat at the table: Move beyond advising on individual legal or tax matters to helping manage ongoing fiduciary relationships and the long-term needs of families and beneficiaries.
  • A strong team behind you: Join an established Trust department of approximately 20 professionals, including dedicated operations and administrative support. You'll have independence, but you won't have to manage complex matters alone.
  • Sophisticated, meaningful work: Inherit an established portfolio of approximately 250–300 accounts representing $275M–$300M in assets, including personal trusts, estates, multigenerational family wealth, agricultural holdings and real estate.
  • Potential leadership growth: For someone interested in building a long-term career, there is an opportunity to develop toward broader Trust leadership responsibilities as future succession plans evolve.
  • Work-life balance: Enjoy a typical 40-hour workweek, collaborative colleagues and an environment focused on relationships rather than billable hours or individual sales quotas.
  • Competitive compensation: $100K–$110K target base, with flexibility for exceptional experience, plus annual incentives and profit sharing.

What you'll do

  • Apply your trusts and estates expertise to the ongoing administration of complex fiduciary relationships. Work directly with clients, beneficiaries, attorneys, CPAs and internal specialists to interpret trust provisions, coordinate estate and trust administration, address distribution matters and help families navigate important financial and personal decisions.

  • You'll develop ongoing relationships with the families you serve, taking responsibility for a portfolio rather than working solely on individual legal, accounting or tax engagements.

  • Who we're looking for

We're especially interested in professionals with substantial hands-on experience in one or more of these areas:

  • Estate-planning and trusts & estates attorneys with meaningful experience in trusts, probate, estate administration and fiduciary matters.

  • Experienced trusts & estates paralegals who have developed significant practical knowledge through estate-planning practices and complex administration work.

  • CPA and tax professionals whose work is substantially concentrated in trust taxation, estate taxation, fiduciary matters or closely related family wealth issues.

  • Other fiduciary or private wealth professionals with directly transferable trust and estate administration experience.

  • Generally, candidates should bring at least five years of relevant experience, strong judgment, excellent client communication skills and the ability to transition into responsibility for a significant portfolio.

  • A JD or CTFA is desirable, but substantial relevant experience and willingness to pursue appropriate trust credentials may also be considered.

  • Location and compensation

  • This is a full-time, onsite position, with York, Nebraska preferred. Murray, Columbus, Shelton and Tilden are additional possible office locations.

  • Target base: $100,000–$110,000, with flexibility for exceptionally qualified candidates, potentially up to $130,000, plus annual incentives, profit sharing and a comprehensive benefits package.

  • Curious about how your expertise could translate? Let's have a confidential conversation about the role, the team and the potential career path.
