Truck Mechanic at High Performance Consulting Location: Lagos
Job Summary
- We are seeking an experienced Truck Mechanic with strong hands on experience in the maintenance, servicing, diagnosis and repair of heavy-duty trucks.
- The ideal candidate must have practical experience working with HOWO, FAW, MAN and/or Iveco trucks and be able to identify and resolve mechanical faults efficiently to minimise vehicle downtime and ensure trucks are safe and fit for operation.
Key Responsibilities

Carry out routine servicing, preventive maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty trucks.

Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical faults across engines, transmission, braking, suspension, steering and other major truck systems.

Inspect trucks to identify existing or potential mechanical issues.

Carry out repairs, component replacement and adjustments as required.

Respond to truck breakdowns and support timely fault resolution.

Test and inspect vehicles after repairs to ensure they are safe and ready for deployment.

Maintain accurate records of servicing, repairs and parts replaced.

Report major, recurring or complex faults to the Workshop Supervisor.

Maintain workshop tools, equipment and work areas in good condition.

Follow workshop safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum of an OND, technical certificate or relevant vocational qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Motor Vehicle Mechanics or a related field.

Minimum of 3 years relevant hands on experience as a truck/heavy duty vehicle mechanic.

Proven experience maintaining and repairing HOWO, FAW, MAN and/or Iveco trucks.

Ability to work effectively in a busy fleet/workshop environment.
Truck Experience:
- Hands on experience with HOWO, FAW, MAN and/or Iveco heavy duty trucks is required.
- Experience working across multiple truck brands will be an advantage.
Skills
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and fault diagnosis skills
- Good knowledge of heavy duty diesel engines and truck systems
