Job title: Truck Maintenance – 1st Shift – Dept. 212
About the Role This is a first-shift Truck Maintenance position at Bachoco USA’s Fort Smith, OK facility. You will repair and maintain electric, diesel, and gasoline trucks, hydraulics, and related systems to support our fleet operations.
What You'll Do
- Perform minor repairs (belts, hoses, alternators, water pumps, etc.)
- Maintain and troubleshoot hydraulic systems; test GPM and PSI
- Repair steel using welding equipment
- Service air braking systems and perform brake jobs; brake certified
- Perform PM1 and PM2 preventive maintenance without supervision
- Safely operate company wrecker and rollback
- Understand and repair suspension components; 134A A/C systems
- Read and interpret maintenance instructions; follow safety procedures per DOT
- Maintain shop organization: clean shop, store tools and parts
- Obtain or hold a DOT health card or CDL; demonstrate safety awareness
- Basic knowledge of trailer suspensions, forklifts
- Willing to perform tasks as directed by lead person or shop manager
What We're Looking For
- 12+ months of related experience or training
- Ability to read safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions; write routine reports; speak effectively
- Basic math skills; ability to compute rate, ratio, percent
- Ability to apply common sense and solve problems; handle multiple variables
- Current driver’s license and DOT health card; ability to obtain CDL
- Physical ability to stand, walk; lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally; vision requirements including color and peripheral vision
- Knowledge of hydraulic systems, air braking, suspension components, 134A AC systems; welding
- Knowledge of trailer suspensions and forklifts
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay rate: $18.75 - $23.25 per hour
- Shift: 5:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday–Friday
