About the Role Truck Driver I in East Chicago, IN with Linde Advanced Material Technologies, responsible for safely operating a hazmat CDL-A vehicle to transport hazardous materials and cryogenic liquids, delivering on schedule while complying with safety, regulatory, and company policies. What You'll Do

• Interact with colleagues and customers professionally.
• Maintain safety focus and environmental consciousness; comply with PPE, in-cab video technology, and HOS.
• Reside within 45 miles of reporting location.
• Maintain CDL Class A with Hazmat endorsement.
• Pass pre-employment physical, DOT physical, and random drug & alcohol testing.
• Work shifts per DOT guidelines (possible layovers, evenings, weekends, call outs).
• Perform Pre/Post-trip inspections, load/unload and secure assets per DOT standards.
• Accurately complete all written and electronic documentation related to driving duties.
• Plan and schedule delivery routes efficiently.
• Participate in monthly safety meetings and complete required training.
• Maintain cleanliness and maintenance of the truck; ensure in-cab documentation up to date. What We're Looking For
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred, but willing to train motivated individuals.
• Commercial driving school certification a plus.
• Ability to safely operate a commercial vehicle transporting hazardous materials and Liquid Refrigerated (cryogenic) and compressed Nobel Gases.
• Ability to follow direction and procedures.
• Ability to work safely around high-pressure gas, cryogenic liquid, and rotating equipment.
• Computer proficiency: Excel, Word, Email, Electronic Logs, handheld scanner.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving capabilities.
• Willing and able to travel up to 40%.
• Physical: routinely talk/hear; sit/stand; lift up to 75 pounds; vision including close, color vision, and ability to adjust focus. Nice to Have
