About this role
Job title: TREX QA Engineer
About the Role Greptile TREX is a runtime testing tool that runs your PR branch in a sandbox to uncover bugs that only surface during execution. The role involves configuring TREX to start services, mock inputs, and navigate UI flows, while ensuring logs, screenshots, and traces are attached to PR comments. This position centers on delivering reliable bug reports from runtime tests to accelerate code quality.
What You'll Do
- Run TREX against PR branches in a sandbox, starting services, mocking inputs, and clicking through UI flows.
- Collect and attach logs, screenshots, traces, scripts, videos, or API outputs to PRs.
- Validate dependencies, frameworks, and test setups used by the repo.
What We're Looking For
- Familiarity with automated testing concepts, runtime debugging, and bug reporting using logs, screenshots, and traces.
- Ability to work with TREX workflows: mocking inputs, spinning up dev servers, and browser automation to navigate UI.
- Comfort running tests against the repository’s existing dependencies, frameworks, and test setup.
- Strong communication to clearly surface findings in PR comments.
