About the Role Join Mercedes-Benz Group AG's Treasury Settlement function to ensure accurate, timely settlement of financial instruments and robust controls over deal data, confirmations, and contract monitoring. You will own end-to-end settlement processes, including data verification, confirmations, reconfirmations, SSI setup, and month-end fixing, while ensuring compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.

What You'll Do

• Conduct formal/plausibility checks of captured deal data (correctness and completeness) and ensure matching of loan agreements and deal data.
• Ensure sending out confirmations to internal/external trading partners and matching of sent confirmations with counter-confirmations.
• Analyze unmatched confirmations, categorize differences, and review differences with internal/external process partners to establish a common understanding of the discrepancies.
• Monitor financial contracts including loan agreements (maturity dates for nominal/interest payments) and fixing for floating interest rates for deals with internal/external trading partners.
• Adjust standard settlement instructions in case of changes and conduct reconfirmation processes; perform month-end fixing and settlement of commodities.
• Release financial contracts to be ready for bookings and payments.
• Ensure timely and accurate treasury/financial settlements in accordance with pre-approved SSI and LoAS within bank cut-off times for various instruments and IC transfers and subsidiary payments; include derivative issuances like CP and EMTN.
• End-to-end responsibility, including exceptional handling.
• Provide accurate static data of all countries and respective counterparties; ensure proper SSI setup details from banks.
• Responsible for verification and confirmation of Treasury deals in Treasury systems.
• Document the Settlement Process: filing and proper record-keeping of relevant documents and logging exceptions/deviations for audit and management review.
• Support statutory audit confirmations and yearly external audit confirmations for all entities within scope.
• Support SWIFT implementation and updates for applicable countries; assist in UAT testing and other GTS improvements.
• Support ICS testing for relevant settlement controls; generate EOD reports as required; ensure compliance with regulations and risk mitigation techniques within the Treasury Settlement processes.

What We're Looking For

• Experience with treasury settlements, data verification, confirmations, reconciliations, and end-to-end settlement processes.
• Familiarity with SWIFT messaging, settlement instructions, SSI setup, and reconfirmation processes.
• Understanding of financial instruments and their settlement flows.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to analyze discrepancies and coordinate with internal/external partners; ability to document procedures for audits.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and control frameworks and experience with audit support.
• Ability to work under strict cut-off times and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
