Treasury Back Office Tester

About the Role Our client seeks Treasury Back Office testers to support the upgrade of their existing Treasury applications. Testers will play a key role in ensuring the success of this project.

What You'll Do

• Test trade settlements, position reconciliations, and regulatory reporting for accuracy and security.
• Validate post-trade lifecycles, ensuring trades flow from front-office execution to clearing, settlement, and accounting.
• Confirm trades move from deal capture to accounting and banking platforms.
• Verify event processing (confirmations, netting), SSI rules, MXML/Swift messaging, and generate regulatory/financial reports.
• Test systems for generating, sending, and reconciling trade confirmations against counterparty platforms.
• Validate accuracy of payment instructions, value date calculations, and messaging protocols to prevent settlement failures.
• Test automated bank statement reconciliation, GL entries, and multi-currency translations for end-of-day accuracy.
• Ensure the system correctly executes prospective/retrospective effectiveness tests and meets external regulatory or internal policy limits.
• Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and change management groups to share information effectively.
• Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent communication.

What We're Looking For

• 10-15 years of overall industry work experience; 10-15 years in treasury-related system work.
• 7-8 years of manual testing experience.
• Knowledge of Treasury, banking, capital markets domain.
• Hands-on/functional knowledge of Murex, Calypso, Kondor.
• Knowledge of scheduling tools such as Control-M, Autosys.
• Full product knowledge of treasury products: FX, Money Markets, Capital Markets, Derivatives and Structured products.
• Hands-on experience in test case execution, defect logging with Jira or Bugzilla; ability to describe steps to reproduce and verify fixes.
• Resolving P/L inconsistencies, monitoring trade quality, supporting traders and middle offices.
• Deep understanding of the post-trade lifecycle, Treasury Management Systems and electronic settlement networks like SWIFT.
• Knowledge of MT300/MT320 SWIFT messaging.
