Job title: Treasury Analyst Assistant M/F
About the Role An exciting and challenging opportunity for a suitably qualified Treasury Analyst Assistant to join CFAO Holdings South Africa. This is a locally based permanent contract in Johannesburg, South Africa. The role provides support in all treasury activities related to domestic and foreign currency cash management for CHSA, TTAF, AMS, TTSAP, TGSA, CFAO Mobility, CFAO Equipment and TTAF Management.
What You'll Do
- Daily processes: Domestic Cash Management, including uploading new vendors into banking platforms, uploading AMS payment runs, manually capturing funding requirements, releasing on Kyriba, saving proof of payments, and uploading monthly salary files into the Banking Online portal.
- Foreign Currency Cash Management: daily rates and forward points submission to business, ensuring exchange control compliance for all FX deals traded outward, accessing and reconciling all forex deals before submission for trading, reconciling external deals against deal blotter and Broadridge, saving bank confirmations, submitting newly established FECs for hedging with full allocations, and managing maturing deals and daily forex positions.
- Foreign payments: upload new vendors into Banking platforms and TMS, process, check, validate and create all foreign payments for AMS by required cut-off times, update payment schedules, and submit utilization of Exchange Control to Treasury's EXCON Officer; save proof of payments and ensure timely releases.
- Foreign Currency receipts: convert each line item in the CFC account within defined lead days, capture conversions on the banking platform, manage maturing FX deals, reconcile bank registers, FECs and payment/receipt schedules, manage journals for cost recovery of foreign currency interest.
- Ad hoc processes and reporting.
What We're Looking For
- Experiential and Educational Requirements: Treasury Diploma; advantageous if completing or holding a BCom (Finance) / Banking degree.
- 3+ years of bank and/or corporate middle/back-office treasury experience.
- FEC and Exchange Control experience is essential; advantage if the candidate has Letters of Credit and Operations experience.
- Basic knowledge of economic impacts, domestic and foreign markets.
- Intermediate computer literacy (MS Office, Excel must, and SAP).
- Banking electronic platforms (Corporate; SWIFT, TMS, SAP, Kyriba) advantageous.
Nice to Have
- Additional Treasury certifications or qualifications (Treasury Diploma, BCom with Finance focus).
- Experience with Kyriba, SAP, SWIFT, TMS.
- Exposure to Letters of Credit and operations related to treasury.
