About the Role The CFAO internship program provides practical experience in a transport environment, helping interns apply their studies to real-world operations. It offers an opportunity to gain invaluable exposure and demonstrate work experience that could attract future employers. The role focuses on supporting daily transport planning, deliveries, collections and related administrative duties within the transport department.
What You'll Do
- Plan daily transport trips (deliveries and collections)
- Update and reconcile MRR machine return register daily
- Liaise with internal and external customers about delivery and collection status
- Perform filing and other admin duties
- Update transport planning boards daily
- Perform any other duties as required for efficient operation of the transport department
- Resolve conflicts and negotiate with others – handle complaints, settle disputes, and resolve grievances
- Evaluate information to determine compliance with standards – assess whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations or standards
- Make decisions and solve problems – analyze information and determine best solution and solve problems
- Support development and team building – encourage mutual trust and respect within the team
- Perform for or work directly with the public – attend to customer needs and greet clients/guests
- Update and apply relevant knowledge – stay technically up-to-date and apply new knowledge to the job or assigned tasks
What We're Looking For
- Appropriate tertiary qualification – degree or equivalent NQF 6 qualifications
- Or currently completing qualification (experiential learning)
