About this role
Transport and Customs Manager (w/m/d) based in Kassel, Germany, will support the Tariffing and Export Control processes for materials and shipments across Alstom's network. The role reports to Lea Spangenberg and is part of a motivated team, contributing to compliant and efficient international trade operations.
What You'll Do
- Tarify materials in accordance with the customs tariff and classify goods
- Implement and maintain a process for material tariffing
- Perform Dual-Use checks for upcoming exports
- Establish and manage processes for Dual-Use assessment/export control
- Create and maintain the documentation basis for performed checks
- Serve as the technical contact for questions in the customs area
What We're Looking For
- Successfully completed Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (m/w/d) or comparable qualification
- Knowledge of applying the customs tariff and classification/tariffing of goods
- Independent, goal-oriented, and analytical work style
- English in spoken and written form; good teamwork
- Proficiency in MS Office tools and SAP
- Willingness to develop and learn; even if not all qualifications are met
