JOB OBJECTIVE
Lead and manage the hotel’s Training & Development activities to strengthen employee skills, service quality, compliance, and career development, while supporting recruitment and employee engagement initiatives.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Training Strategy: Develop and implement the annual Training & Development plan, budget, and monthly training calendar based on business needs and guest feedback.
Training Delivery: Coordinate and conduct orientation, general training, skill training, simulation programmes, language classes, and mandatory government training.
Training Needs: Analyse departmental training needs, conduct regular skills audits, and work closely with departmental trainers and HODs to identify development opportunities.
Training Performance: Monitor attendance, evaluations, training reports, trainee performance, and monthly training statistics; maintain accurate training records and documentation.
Development: Promote cross-training, job rotation, multi-skilling, and continuous learning opportunities for employees.
Guest Experience: Work closely with Guest Experience and operational departments to turn guest feedback into relevant training actions.
External Training: Coordinate with external training providers, schools, universities, and other partners to support the hotel’s development strategy.
Onboarding: Coordinate with HR to welcome new employees and provide orientation on hotel rules, grooming, facilities, and employee policies.
Recruitment: Support manpower planning, job advertising, candidate sourcing, screening, interviews, recruitment coordination, and talent-pool development.
Talent Pipeline: Build relationships with vocational schools, colleges, and universities to attract interns, trainees, and future talent.
Employee Relations: Maintain positive employee relations, support staff activities, conduct communication meetings, and assist with performance management and employee engagement initiatives.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure employees are aware of HR policies, procedures, emergency and safety requirements, and maintain confidentiality of HR matters.
Administration: Maintain training SOPs, P&P, Training Task Lists, JDs, recruitment records, reports, and other HR documentation.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Management according to business needs.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Education: University Degree in Administration, English, Hospitality, Human Resources, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar Training/HR position in a large hotel, international company, or hospitality environment.
Knowledge: Strong knowledge of Training & Development, soft skills, hotel training programmes, and employee development.
Skills: Strong communication, presentation, organization, coaching, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Computer: Good computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
English: Good written and spoken English.
Profile: Proactive, organized, approachable, service-minded, and able to work effectively with employees at all levels.
Internal Candidates: Minimum 2 years with the company in a similar position in a large hotel.
