Trainee Lawyer

White & Case is a global law firm with strong local presence in Milan. The Milan office seeks Trainee Lawyers with an interest in M&A, bank finance and capital markets to join the team. Trainees will have the opportunity to work with Milan partners and associates as well as teams based in other offices, gaining diverse experience in multi-jurisdictional transactions across ECM, DCM, banking, corporate, antitrust and competition. This role offers exposure to high-quality, internationally oriented work on challenging M&A, financing and capital markets mandates within a truly global organization.

Responsibilities

• Work with Milan partners and associates and with teams in other offices to gain exposure to multi-jurisdictional transactions across ECM, DCM, banking, corporate and antitrust/competition.
• Contribute to financing transactions and cross-border M&A activities and develop a broad understanding of the firm’s practice areas.
• Engage in the day-to-day matters of a global law firm environment and collaborate with team members to deliver high-quality service to clients.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Law from an Italian university.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Fluency in English and Italian, both written and spoken.
• Genuine interest in financing transactions and cross-border M&A.
• International experience is not required but would be a plus.
• Ambitious, passionate about work, service-minded, strong interpersonal skills, and able to work well in a team.
