About the Role
Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Trainee Accounts Executive to join its Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring accounting professional to gain hands-on exposure to accounting operations, bookkeeping, financial documentation, and business processes within a diversified corporate environment.
The ideal candidate should possess a strong interest in accounting, excellent computer literacy, and a willingness to learn and grow within the finance profession.
Key Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping activities.
- Assist in maintaining accurate financial records and documentation.
- Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliation activities.
- Assist in preparing financial reports and schedules.
- Maintain proper filing and documentation of accounting records.
- Support finance team members with accounting and administrative tasks.
- Assist with data entry and updating accounting systems.
- Coordinate with internal departments to obtain required financial information.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of accounting records.
- Support month-end and year-end finance activities as required.
Requirements

G.C.E. Advanced Level qualification in the Commerce stream with Accounting as a subject.

Part qualification in AAT, CA Sri Lanka, CIMA, ACCA, or an equivalent professional qualification.

Basic knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.

Excellent computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Good command of written and spoken English.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Good organizational and time-management skills.

Pleasant personality with strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.

Willingness to learn and develop within the accounting profession.

Valid riding licence is mandatory.
