About the Role
The Train Performance Manager will be the technical focal point for the performance and functionality of Alstom's train products, coordinating system-level design and ensuring customer requirements and regulatory standards are met. Based at the La Rochelle site, you will lead strategic technical projects for tramway and train systems and collaborate with system engineers, subsystem experts and project teams. What You'll Do
- Act as the main technical interface for project teams on train performance topics, owning performance-related technical points in the requirement and working with systems engineers and subsystem experts to implement changes or adapt functions to meet customer needs.
- Lead the development of train-scale systems (operability analysis, system definition, architecture, performance and functions) while ensuring contractual schedules and budgets.
- Define the deliverables list (specifications, calculation notes, test reports) consistent with industry standards.
- Collaborate in V&V activities according to project specifications and the cahier des charges.
- Coordinate the resolution of technical issues during commissioning, from investigation to implementation of modifications and closure of problems.
- Manage project costs: ensure adherence to budget and support identification of variances with project financial representatives.
- Ensure deadlines: monitor deliverables in line with project schedule, in collaboration with the scheduling team. What We're Looking For
- Engineering degree (generalist) or equivalent.
- More than 5 years experience in a design office, ideally in the industrial sector.
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic engineering disciplines.
- Ability to work across interfaces and collaborate in a team.
- Strong analytical skills and decisiveness.
- Proficient in written and spoken English. Nice to Have
- Experience in rail or public transportation domains is a plus.
