Traffic and Revenue Engineer

About the Role The Traffic and Revenue Engineer analyzes traffic and socioeconomic data to forecast traffic and toll revenue for the Dallas concessions, and to model the traffic impact of design changes. This role supports short- and long-term traffic and revenue forecasting for NTE concessions within the Cintra-led consortium. What You'll Do

• Analyze traffic and socioeconomic data of concession companies and their area of influence.
• Prepare monthly reports and summarize findings of traffic, revenue, and economic studies.
• Ensure reports required by the concession contract are delivered to TxDOT and Independent Engineer in a timely manner.
• Prepare memos examining trends, leading indicators, and travel patterns.
• Present conclusions to department manager or senior management.
• Lead, develop and utilize spreadsheet-based models and micro (or macro) simulation models to analyze traffic and revenue impact from design changes and proposed road network improvements.
• Manage third-party traffic consultancy if applicable.
• Develop and update annual budget models given historical data and economic conditions for existing Dallas assets; present findings to department manager or senior management.
• Calibrate and operate Toll Setting Module (TSM) software to establish toll rates in accordance with Business Rules (Training provided).
• Lead or contribute to research projects in the traffic and revenue field; participate in project meetings; liaise with project team members; oversee project deliverables.
• All other duties as assigned. What We're Looking For
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (Transportation), Economics, Statistics, Business Analytics or related majors required (Master’s preferred).
• 0-2+ years of experience in business analytics, traffic/transportation analysis, engineering consultancy or equivalent; engineering consultancy experience preferred but not required.
• EIT certification preferred; PE license is a plus.
• Possesses intermediate knowledge of managing stakeholders and assigned concession; ability to manage tasks with strict deadlines; ability to interact with colleagues in a self-managed team structure; multitask and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.
• Superior quantitative skills; superior writing and verbal communication skills, particularly technical report writing.
• Computer Skills: proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint; basic SQL; experience with statistical analysis software, data visualization software (Tableau or Power BI preferred), and transportation modeling software (TransCAD, CUBE Voyager, VISSIM or HCS7 preferred); knowledge of Python or ArcGIS is a plus.
