Job title: Trading Platform Engineer
About the Role DriveWealth is seeking a Trading Platform Engineer to help operate and evolve our real-time execution engine. You will contribute to ultra-low latency, high-precision pricing for fractional trading at scale and collaborate on secure, multi-region connectivity with FIX networks and EMS partners.
What You'll Do
- Own and optimize the real-time execution engine with eight-decimal precision and sub-15 ms final fill times (acknowledgments under 1 ms, final fills under 15 ms).
- Maintain and monitor latency benchmarks to ensure optimal pricing and execution quality across high-volume trading.
- Support ultra-large-scale trading and real-time risk management with advanced netting and robust operations.
- Design and operate multi-region, redundant infrastructure with diverse routing; connect via FIX networks or direct telco providers.
- Collaborate with operations teams to manage executions in real-time and protect against single points of failure.
What We're Looking For
- Experience building and maintaining latency-sensitive trading infrastructure and real-time systems.
- Familiarity with FIX protocol and integration with Execution Management System partners.
- Track record of delivering high-throughput, reliable trading platforms capable of handling billions in daily volumes.
- Understanding of external factors affecting performance (market volatility, network congestion, order-flow characteristics).
- Ability to work across regions and ensure resilience and security in multi-site deployments.
Nice to Have
- Experience with performance benchmarking and latency measurement in production.
- Knowledge of fractional trading environments and netting strategies.
- Exposure to multi-region disaster recovery, redundancy planning, and robust operational support.
