Key responsibilities

Own primary operational support for New Zealand equities trading activity

Support client and trade support for the Australian cash equities business
-
Ensure integrity of T+0 trade capture, maintaining accurate, complete, timely trade data
-
Perform daily front-to-back controls, risk reporting, and T+1 reconciliations
-
Investigate exceptions, booking discrepancies, and trade economics breaks through resolution

Liaise with clients, brokers, custodians, and internal teams to ensure seamless processing

The team
-
You’ll be working in the Client and Trade Support team within Securities Middle Office, supporting Australia and New Zealand Equities trading desks and corporate client deal teams. We provide the infrastructure that helps the business deliver premium client service while meeting regulatory requirements and maintaining a strong internal control framework. You’ll partner closely with Trading, Sales, Clients, Operations, and Technology in a fast-paced market environment where ownership, clear communication, and risk management matter.

Your skills and experience
To succeed in this role, you bring:
-
Middle office background within an investment bank or buy-side firm
-
Strong understanding of the equities trade lifecycle, from trade capture through settlements and corporate actions
-
Proven capability performing front-to-back controls, daily risk reporting, and T+1 reconciliations
-
Skill investigating and resolving trade exceptions, booking discrepancies, and trade economics breaks
-
Confidence liaising with clients, brokers, custodians, and internal stakeholders to drive timely outcomes
-
Solid knowledge of operational risk frameworks, including escalation, root-cause resolution, and control improvements
-
Ideally familiarity with Australian and New Zealand market practices and regulatory environments
-
A proactive, detail-oriented, resilient working style with a continuous improvement mindset
-
