We’re expanding our delivery team with skilled, hands-on tradespeople who want to earn through the quality and amount of work they deliver.

Who we’re looking for:

We welcome general builders, multi-trade professionals, carpenters, plumbers, electricians, heating engineers, roofers, decorators, plasterers, tilers, flooring installers, kitchen and bathroom fitters, and external works specialists.

You must personally carry out your allocated work. Subcontracting, outsourcing or passing jobs to others is not permitted. We want to see your workmanship and build a relationship with you.

Scope it. Price it. Deliver it.

You’ll have the opportunity to assess and scope jobs yourself before committing to delivery. This means using your experience to:

• Understand exactly what work is required.
• Confirm that you have the skills, qualifications and capacity to complete it.
• Determine how long the job will realistically take.
• Identify the materials needed and calculate their cost.
• Highlight access requirements, dependencies and any exclusions.
• Put forward a clear price and a realistic delivery plan. You can then deliver work you have personally assessed, with the right time allocated and the material requirements understood from the outset. Good preparation gives you greater ownership of the outcome and a stronger opportunity to earn from efficient, quality delivery.

• Agree the assignment: The scope, job price, timescale and payment terms are agreed before you start.
• Deliver quality work: Complete the job yourself to Optimal’s standards, raising any changes before carrying out additional work.
• Build your earning potential: Efficient, reliable delivery creates capacity for further assignments when available. You’ll be part of Optimal’s supply chain and delivery team, supported by our office team. We’ll train you on our standards and platform, which you’ll use to manage your calendar, receive job information and provide daily updates.

• Proven trade experience, with references and photos of work you personally completed.

• Your own suitable vehicle, tools and appropriate insurance.

• Relevant qualifications and registrations where required.

• A smartphone for job information, daily updates and photographs.

• Clear spoken English and good communication skills.
