About this role

A fast-growing organization is seeking a Trade Execution Officer to join our team in Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria. This full-time role reports to the Supply Chain Manager and offers a competitive monthly salary range.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate end-to-end import and export logistics operations to ensure timely dispatch and delivery.
  • Monitor shipment schedules, track cargo movement, and proactively address delays or disruptions.
  • Prepare, review, and verify trade documentation including invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, permits, and customs declarations.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international trade regulations and maintain proper documentation records for audits.
  • Serve as the operational contact between suppliers and customers, communicating shipment timelines and resolving trade execution issues.
  • Align supplier dispatch schedules with customer delivery requirements to avoid bottlenecks.
  • Coordinate with clearing and forwarding agents to ensure smooth customs clearance and timely submission of documentation.
  • Liaise with Ministries and regulatory authorities to obtain necessary permits and approvals, following up until completion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Trade, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 4–5 years of experience in import/export operations or trade logistics.
  • Strong knowledge of customs procedures, trade documentation, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and trade/logistics tracking systems.
