Job title: Trade Compliance Manager

About the Role In this role, you will act as subject matter expert for U.S. trade compliance (Customs, Import/Export, Export Controls) and advise internal stakeholders on U.S. customs regulations, trade programs, and compliance risks. You will support the development and continuous improvement of trade compliance policies, procedures, and controls, evaluate regulatory changes, and communicate implications to affected stakeholders. You will manage internal and external audits, assessments, and compliance reviews, contribute to lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure compliant import and export transactions in accordance with U.S. CBP and other authorities. You will perform HTS classification and country of origin determinations, support duty/tax/fee calculations (including preferential programs), oversee brokers and service providers, maintain customs documentation, conduct post-entry reviews and corrections, and support Export Control and Dual-Use compliance including license determinations. You will maintain trade compliance data in relevant systems and serve as the point of contact for internal trade compliance questions across logistics, procurement, and project teams. You will assess and implement duty-saving opportunities (e.g., FTZs, bonded warehousing, temporary imports).

What You'll Do

  • Act as subject matter expert for U.S. trade compliance (Customs, Import/Export, Export Controls) and advise internal stakeholders on regulations, programs, and compliance risks
  • Support development and continuous improvement of trade compliance policies, procedures, and controls; evaluate regulatory changes and communicate implications
  • Support internal and external audits, assessments, and compliance reviews; contribute to lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Perform and validate HTS classification and country of origin determinations for equipment
  • Ensure compliant import and export transactions in line with CBP and other authorities; support duty, tax, and fee calculations including preferential trade programs
  • Manage, oversee, and evaluate customs brokers and service providers; review and maintain customs documentation, entry summaries, and audit-relevant records
  • Conduct post-entry reviews, corrections, and reconciliations as required
  • Support Export Control and Dual-Use compliance, including license determinations
  • Maintain trade compliance data in relevant compliance and authority systems
  • Serve as point of contact for internal trade compliance questions from logistics, procurement, and project teams
  • Ensure compliance with 19 CFR, CBP entry procedures, Reconciliation processes, and Post Summary Corrections (PSC)
  • Assess and implement duty-saving opportunities (e.g., Foreign Trade Zones, bonded warehousing, temporary imports)

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, International Trade, Logistics, Law, or related field
  • Several years of experience in U.S. trade compliance, customs, or international logistics
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations and procedures, HTS classification/origin rules, import/export documentation and broker management, and Export Control / Dual-Use regulations
  • Experience with ERP systems and customs/compliance tools
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
