About this role

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your engineering and product management expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside a collaborative and innovative team of professionals.

You’ll play a crucial role in shaping the future of our Traction, Auxiliary, and Energy Systems for Light Rail Vehicle (LRV) and Automatic People Mover (APM) product ranges. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as Engineering, Procurement, Industrial, Finance, and Quality teams), coordinate product roadmaps, and ensure product competitiveness and compliance with market demands.

You’ll specifically take care of managing and developing product roadmaps for the complete product range, but also ensure product validation, homologation, and alignment with regulatory standards.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Coordinating product roadmaps to achieve performance, competitiveness, and cost targets.
  • Ensuring the competitiveness of the product portfolio in terms of technology and cost.
  • Validating and homologating products while maintaining compliance with evolving regulations and standards.
  • Observing market trends and identifying portfolio or technology gaps to drive strategic actions.
  • Collaborating closely with the Rolling Stock (RS) Platform to align product strategies.
  • Supporting tenders by confirming product definitions, variability, and gaps, and participating in final tender validations.
  • Managing and coordinating cross-functional teams across development and support sites.
  • Maintaining up-to-date product documentation and definitions.
  • Overseeing Product Approval Board (PAB) and Product Review Board (PRB) management for new R&D programs.

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • Master’s degree in engineering or equivalent education with relevant experience.
  • Experience in engineering or sub-system management (minimum 5 years).
  • Strong knowledge and expertise in traction technology and manufacturing processes.
  • Specific understanding of traction/vehicle design to see the "big picture."
  • Business fluency in English.
  • Ability to work in a multi-skilled and multicultural context.
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience leading teams in a matrix organization.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
