About the Role This position supports Mount Marty University's athletics program in track and field, with the expectation that the candidate will be accepted into the Master of Education in Coaching Leadership Program. The role focuses on coaching, training, recruiting, and program management to promote excellence in sport and education. What You'll Do
- Assist with development and implementation of training plans for designated event groups during indoor and outdoor seasons.
- Coach student-athletes at practices and meets; provide oversight and evaluation of daily progress.
- Recruit prospective student athletes in compliance with university goals and NAIA guidelines.
- Participate in event scheduling, budgeting, equipment procurement, meet management, and fundraising; perform other duties as assigned. What We're Looking For
- Acceptance into Mount Marty University Master of Education in Coaching Leadership Program; minimum 2.75 GPA; three letters of reference; 1-2 page essay describing purpose, goals, and commitment.
- preferred: experience in high jump, long jump, and triple jump and/or throws (discus, shot put, javelin, weight throw, hammer throw).
- Ability to recruit and work within NAIA guidelines; strong communication and organizational skills. Nice to Have
- Preferred: track and field event experience across jumps and throws as noted above. Compensation & Benefits
- 2/3 tuition waiver from Mount Marty’s Master of Education in Coaching Leadership Program.
- $2,500 academic stipend.
