About the Role
As a Tooling Engineer, you will play a critical role in driving tooling excellence to support customer needs and strengthen our competitive advantage. You will partner cross-functionally to develop high-quality mold solutions that improve product performance, accelerate time-to-market, and enhance overall manufacturing efficiency.
What You'll Do
- Partner with the RFQ team to deliver accurate tooling estimates (cycle time, tonnage, scrap rate) to support competitive quotations
- Develop DFM reports to proactively identify and mitigate tooling and product risks
- Design molds using UG NX to meet product and manufacturing requirements
- Lead tooling design reviews to reduce risk across manufacturing, trial runs, debugging, and mass production
- Drive tooling project execution, including progress control, validation, qualification, and transfer to production
- Lead tooling repair and improvement activities to ensure stable and efficient production performance
- Collaborate with internal teams and customers to resolve issues and enhance satisfaction
- Contribute to continuous improvement, innovation initiatives, and corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with EHS regulations and proactively identify and mitigate safety risks
What We're Looking For
- Experience in tooling or mold design with demonstrated ability to deliver engineering solutions
- Knowledge of mold design and injection molding processes
- Experience using CAD tools (e.g., UG NX) for tooling design
- Ability to analyze technical challenges and implement effective solutions
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken)
Nice to Have
- Experience with Moldflow or similar simulation tools
- Project management experience in tooling or manufacturing environments
- Experience developing high-cavitation, fast-cycle molds
- Experience in medical or highly regulated industry environments
