About this role
About the Role The Tool Maker II works on a variety of operations and production machinery to fabricate and/or process parts, performing required tasks in the manufacture of product. This on-site role is based in Cortland, NY and reports to the Production Supervisor. Shift is Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. What You'll Do
- Set up and operate machine tools including Lathes, Mills, Drills, Grinders, Hones and other surface finishing equipment.
- Work under the direction of supervisors, or more experienced personnel, with little supervision.
- Plan and produce/repair parts, machines, jogs, fixtures, tooling and prototypes using good machining practices. What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent.
- 18 months+ of related tool making experience.
- Ability to stand, sit, stoop, bend, walk, reach, squat, kneel, push, and pull for a minimum of 8 hours.
- Ability to lift and carry 0-10lbs continuously, 11-40lbs occasionally (with assistance if needed), and push/pull 0-25lbs frequently and 26-100lbs occasionally (with assistance if needed). Compensation & Benefits
- The hourly range for this role is $34.39/hour-$35.43/hour.
